Aircraft landing-gear systems
7075-T73 / 2014-T6 aluminum alloy
For Aircraft landing-gear systems, the Forged Aerospace Aluminum Wheel Hub must use 7075-T73 / 2014-T6 aluminum alloy at 50-80 kg scale while meeting Die-forged grain-flow control; Lightweight, strength and aerospace-service reliability. The engineering challenge is coordinated control of the forming-temperature window, heat-treatment response and machining distortion.
The manufacturing strategy controls the aluminum-alloy temperature window, heat-treatment response and machining distortion. Billet condition, heating and deformation parameters, solution ageing and finish-machining allowance are coordinated with material, property, dimensional and surface verification.
Delivery basis: Machined condition. Die-forged grain-flow control; Lightweight, strength and aerospace-service reliability are incorporated into the project inspection plan, with final inspection records and the quality dossier supporting acceptance and release.
Material grade and batch traceability
Mechanical-property and heat-treatment verification to the approved specification
UT / PT, dimensional and surface inspection as technically required
Material certificate and heat/lot traceability
Heat-treatment and inspection records
Final dimensional report and release dossier
